The British duo Franc Moody is set to play at the Heineken Stage on July 12, at the 17th edition of NOS Alive.

Franc Moody is a British duo formed by Jon Moody and Ned Franc, whose musical journey spans a wide range of influences, from 1950s blues to contemporary electronic music. After years of exploring jazz and blues, the duo found their identity by embracing synthesizers and focusing on crafting danceable rhythms. Inspired by artists like Todd Terje and Lindstrøm, they began producing tracks where groove and energy take center stage, using drum machines as a defining element of their sound.

With their new album, Chewing The Fat, Franc Moody reinvents their musical approach, moving away from their signature disco sheen and embracing a raw, visceral sound. Drawing inspiration from LCD Soundsystem and Massive Attack’s live performances, they decided to reconstruct their sonic identity, experimenting with unconventional synthesizers and exploring a bolder aesthetic. The result is an album that retains catchy melodies and rich harmonies but with a grittier, more authentic edge.

Their philosophy is to create music that stands the test of time, offering listeners a momentary escape and an intense experience, whether on stage or on the dance floor. With impressive streaming numbers on Spotify and a growing fanbase, Franc Moody continues to evolve while staying true to the essence that makes them unique.
