Mão Cabeça was born from friendships that have lasted for over 20 years, during which several musical projects—some more serious than others—have always reinforced the certainty that music was their common ground, and that this ground was fertile for their ideas. In 2021, between Loures and Odivelas, André Boa-Nova, Gonçalo Gil, Frederico Nogueira, and Pedro Castro decided to commit to the project and push it forward fully. After Onde Moram os Casos Perdidos (2023), they released their second EP Mão Quente in 2025, marking a new chapter for the band and their ambition to reach a wider audience. Mão Cabeça is a band that wears the badge of Portuguese songs, where striking lyrics travel between noise and calm, melancholy and fear, irony and truth—a sonic battle between chaos and introspection.
