PIXIES
Heineken Stage . 11 JUL .
)
In the year they celebrate 40 years of career, Pixies will take the Heineken Stage at NOS Alive’26 on the festival’s third day, July 11.
Originally from Boston, first embraced by the UK and now adored worldwide, Pixies mark four decades of music with the announcement of their “Pixies 40 – World Tour”, a new global tour kicking off across the UK and Europe between May and July 2026. The current lineup reunites founding members Black Francis, Joey Santiago, and David Lovering, joined by bassist Emma Richardson.
From their earliest club shows, Pixies stunned audiences with their explosive blend of chaos and control. No glamour, no stage talk — just a raw, electrifying sound. For many, those first shows were more than concerts: they were revelations, a new way of understanding rock.
From 1987’s Come On Pilgrim to their split in 1993, Pixies cemented their legacy. Over a decade later, in 2004, the band returned to the stage — and the response was immediate. Tickets sold out within minutes, and their Coachella Festival performance marked the beginning of a new era.
Since then, Pixies have continued to captivate crowds across generations, reaffirming their status as one of the most influential alternative rock bands in history. After reuniting, the group entered a new creative phase, releasing five studio albums between 2014 and 2024: Indie Cindy, Head Carrier, Beneath the Eyrie, Doggerel and The Night the Zombies Came. With sold-out tours on every continent and regular appearances at the world’s biggest festivals, Pixies remain a defining force in contemporary music. Forty years on, they continue to defy expectations — still relevant, still innovative, and showing no signs of slowing down.
