James Blake is the latest addition to the NOS Alive’27 lineup. He will take the Heineken Stage on July 10th, the final day of the festival.

*Trying Times*—James Blake’s seventh and most recent album, which he will present at NOS Alive’27—is his most personal work to date. It is a deeply intimate, moving, and sonically inventive reflection. Across the album’s 13 tracks, Blake explores the instability of living through a historical moment defined by profound change. With extraordinary honesty and sensitivity, he articulates the immense mental and emotional toll exacted by our current reality, while also illustrating how love, friendship, and the small, everyday acts of kindness that define these relationships can offer comfort.

James Blake’s self-titled debut album was released in 2011, reaching the UK Top 10 and earning a nomination for the Mercury Prize—an award he would go on to win two years later with his second album, *Overgrown*. Over the course of six studio albums, he has cemented his status as one of the most significant and influential musicians of his generation.

His work as a versatile songwriter and producer—driven by a strong penchant for collaboration—has been equally remarkable. Throughout his career, he has worked with artists such as Beyoncé, Frank Ocean, SZA, Rosalía, and Kendrick Lamar, contributing to some of the most defining records of our time.
