British duo Franc Moody are the new confirmation for July 12 on the Heineken Stage at the 17th edition of NOS Alive.
Franc Moody is a British duo formed by Jon Moody and Ned Franc, whose musical journey crosses different influences, from 50s blues to contemporary electronic music. After years of exploring jazz and blues, the duo found their identity by adopting synthesizers and focusing on creating danceable rhythms. Inspired by artists such as Todd Terje and Lindstrøm, they began producing tracks where rhythm and energy were the priority, mainly using drum machines to define their sound.
With their new album Chewing The Fat, Franc Moody are renewing their musical approach, moving away from the disco sheen and embracing a more raw and visceral sound. Influenced by live performances by LCD Soundsystem and Massive Attack, they decided to rebuild their sound, experimenting with quirky synthesizers and exploring a bolder aesthetic. The result is an album that retains the catchy melodies and rich harmonies, but with a dirtier, more authentic feel.
The band’s philosophy is to create music that stands the test of time, offering listeners a momentary escape and an intense experience, whether at a concert or on the dance floor. With impressive numbers on Spotify and a growing fan base, Franc Moody continue to evolve without losing the essence that has made them unique.
