The Glass Animals are Dave Bayley (lead vocals, production), Drew MacFarlane (guitar, keyboards), Ed Irwin-Singer (bass, keyboards) and Joe Seaward (drums), who came to prominence with their debut album, ZABA (2014), which includes the hit “Gooey,” known for its lush, experimental sound. In 2020, they returned with Dreamlandan introspective album that reflects Bayley’s personal experiences, including childhood and complex relationships, and introduced the world to the viral hit “Heat Waves,” which catapulted them to global fame and became an anthem during the pandemic. In 2022, they continued to enjoy the success of Dreamland and “Heat Waves,” which earned them a GRAMMY® nomination for Best New Artist, In July of this year they released their fourth studio album, I Love You So F**ing Muchwhich explores themes of love and emotional vulnerability, reflecting Bayley’s experience of fame after the success of Dreamland. The lead single, “Creatures in Heaven,” marks the band’s return to the bold, atmospheric sounds that characterize them.
