NOS Alive’25 welcomes the English Glass Animals on the first day of the festival. The English band led by Dave Bayley arrives at the Passeio Marítimo de Algés to perform on the Heineken Stage on July 10, alongside the already confirmed Artemas, Benson Boone, Noah Kahan and Olivia Rodrigo.
The Glass Animals are Dave Bayley (lead vocals, production), Drew MacFarlane (guitar, keyboards), Ed Irwin-Singer (bass, keyboards) and Joe Seaward (drums), who came to prominence with their debut album, ZABA (2014), which includes the hit “Gooey,” known for its lush, experimental sound. Their second album, How to Be a Human Being (2016), adopted a unique narrative approach, with each song representing a fictional character inspired by people they met while on tour.
In 2020, they returned with Dreamlandan introspective album that reflects Bayley’s personal experiences, including childhood and complex relationships, and introduced the world to the viral hit “Heat Waves,” which catapulted them to global fame and became an anthem during the pandemic. In 2022, they continued to enjoy the success of Dreamland and “Heat Waves,” which earned them a GRAMMY® nomination for Best New Artist, In July of this year they released their fourth studio album, I Love You So F**ing Muchwhich explores themes of love and emotional vulnerability, reflecting Bayley’s experience of fame after the success of Dreamland. The lead single, “Creatures in Heaven,” marks the band’s return to the bold, atmospheric sounds that characterize them. In 2025 they take to the Heineken Stage at NOS Alive’25 to perform on the first day of the festival.
