Mother Mother are the latest confirmation for the Heineken Stage on the second day of NOS Alive’25. The Canadian group will perform at the Passeio Marítimo de Algés on July 11.
Made up of Ryan Guldemond (vocals, guitar), Molly Guldemond (vocals, keyboards), Jasmin Parkin (vocals, keyboards), Ali Siadat (drums) and Mike Young (bass), Mother Mother has experienced truly remarkable growth over the last three years. The year 2022 catapulted the band to a new level of universal success, driven by the release of their eighth studio album, Inside.
The platinum-certified single, “Hayloft II,” won over audiences worldwide. On the impactful new album Grief Chapter – the band’s ninth, the Canadian group pushes their creative and musical boundaries even further. This collection of songs dares to take risks, with an ambitious approach both in composition and in the more subtle details, exploring profound themes such as life, death, mourning and the freedom that comes from accepting the inevitable.
Sonically, the twelve tracks on Grief Chapter are among the most robust and impactful of Mother Mother’s career, reinforced by a legion of new fans and the bigger stages and venues that have accompanied the band’s recent and ongoing success. “Our instinct was to create something powerful and impactful,” says Ryan Guldemond, lead vocalist and lyricist for Mother Mother. “We don’t take this moment for granted – or this life. A life in music, doing what we love with those we love.”
