Spoon, one of the most influential bands in indie rock will confirm their presence on July 6th on the Heineken Stage at the 15th edition of the Festival.
The band will present its 10th studio album, Lucifer On The Sofa which will be released on February 11, 2022. Widely acclaimed by the critics, having achieved top ratings by The Guardian and The Independent, this is the band’s purest album to date. Made in Texas, it is the first set of songs the quintet has recorded in their hometown of Austin in over a decade. Written and recorded over the past two years – in and out of confinement – the songs mark a shift toward something more ambitious, wilder, and more colorful.
Last November 4th, the North American band released Lucifer On The Moon a track-by-track remix of Lucifer On The Sofa, with all remixes by Adrian Sherwood. Also that month the band received the first GRAMMYs® nomination in the quintet’s history, for Best Rock Album.
Since 1996, with Telephono, the Austin-based band has been building a loyal and solid fan base, achieving commercial success with Girls Can Tell (2001). Since then the growth has been steady, earning them the status of one of the most influential bands in indie rock.
They arrive on the first day of the 15th edition of NOS Alive, to perform at the Heineken Stage alongside names like Jacob Collier or Men I Trust. Tickets are available here.
