The War On Drugs are the latest confirmation for the first day of NOS Alive, July 6, 2022. The band, which recently released their new studio album, will play at NOS Stage at the 14th edition of the festival, which takes place at Passeio Marítimo de Algés, on July 6, 7, 8 and 9, 2022.

I Don’t Live Here Anymore – their first studio album since 2017 – began to be thought out and worked on after the band received the Grammy for Best Rock Album with A Deeper Understanding. Directed by Grandiciel and co-produced/engineered by Shawn Everett, the album was recorded over the following 3 years where they adopted recording songs as a unit, rather than the piecemeal approach they used in the past.

The band’s career began in 2008 with Wagonwheel Blues, followed in 2011 by the second album of originals, Slave Ambient, that was well-received by critics and fans and was considered as one of the albums of the year. In 2014, Lost in the Dream, one of the band’s most acclaimed albums, was released, and three years later, in 2017, A Deeper Understanding.

Currently composed by Adam Grandiciel (vocals and guitar), David Hartley (bass and guitar), Robbie Bennett (keyboards), Charlie Hall (drums), Jon Natchez (Saxaphone and keyboards) and Anthony LaMarcar (guitar), The War On Drugs take the NOS Stage at NOS Alive.
