The Arctic Monkeys are the big confirmation for the NOS Stage on the day July 7th of NOS Alive, which celebrates its 15th edition in 2023.

The band from Sheffield comes to present its latest work The Car (2022). Critically acclaimed, The Car is an album that complements the artistic progression of the band and the discovery of new sounds, with singles such as “Body Paint”, “I Ain’t Quite Where I Think I Am” and “There’d Better Be a Mirrorball”, the latter of which is nominated for the GRAMMYs® as Best Alternative Music Performance. The album debuted at number two in 10 countries, including the UK.

The band’s debut album, Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’mNot, became the best-selling debut album in the history of the UK charts upon its release in 2006. This was followed by Favourite Worst Nightmare (2007), Humbug (2009), Suck It And See (2011), AM (2013) e Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino (2018) that cemented the British band as one of the most successful to emerge in recent times.

The Arctic Monkeys are the band to win Best British Group and British Album Of The Year at the BRIT Awards three times, having amassed 7 BRIT awards from 9 nominations since their debut album. Other achievements include an Ivor Novello award, a Mercury Music Prize, 20 NME awards, 5 Q awards, and 6 GRAMMYs nominations.

With over 25 million global sales and a digital fan base of over 30 million followers, the band’s music has been listened to on digital platforms over 9 billion times so far, accumulating an average of 6.5 million streams every day.
