Celeste is the new confirmation for the July 7th of NOS Alive’22. The singer, born in LA but raised in the United Kingdom, makes her debut on the Promenade of Algés, at NOSStage, joining the already confirmed Florence + The Machine, Jorja Smith, Alt-J among others.
Winner of the BBC Sound of 2020 and the Rising Star Award at the Brit Awards, Celeste began her career in 2014 as a vocalist for electronic productions by artists such as Avicii, Real Lies or Tieks, while releasing her own songs on SoundCloud. In 2017 she edited The Milk & The Honey, her first EP, by the publisher founded by Lily Allen. In 2019, after signing with Polydor Records, she edits her second EP, Lately. In January 2021, Celeste was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song with the song “Hear My Voice”, from the acclaimed film The Trial of the Chicago 7, the same year in editing her first studio album, Not Your Muse.
The album, which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, earned it several nominations such as Album of the Year, Best Female Solo Artist and Best New Artist at the 2021 Brit Awards and mercury prize 2021 nominee.
It is then on July 7, that we received for the first time on the Promenade of Algés, Celeste, to perform on the NOS Stage of the 14th edition of NOS Alive.
