In her debut at the Passeio Marítimo de Algés, Nathy Peluso presents GRASA (2024), the latest album that reveals a more mature artist, fearless and willing to expose her vulnerability and the complexity of fame. From the opening with Corleone and her visceral cry – “This ambition is killing me” – it’s clear that this new phase of her career delves deeply into the challenges of ambition and success. For the first time, the Argentinian singer based in Spain reveals a more intimate side in her lyrics, dealing unfiltered with the creative crises, sacrifices and growing pains that accompany stardom. Musically, the album balances rap, ballads and tropical rhythms, reflecting her versatility as a performer and songwriter, and marking a new chapter in her artistic career.

His acclaimed debut album, Calambre (2020), catapulted Nathy Peluso to fame and success, winning “Best Alternative Album” at the 2021 Latin GRAMMYs, hits with Bizarrap, C. Tangana and Tiago PZK, performing at Coachella, two completely sold-out Movistar Arenas in Buenos Aires and a tour throughout Spain. All this came at a personal cost. Between performances, partnerships with brands and new music releases, in 2022 and 2023, he dedicated himself intensely to writing and producing material that would give rise to his new album. “That’s part of me, I’m a strong woman, but I’ve lost track of my humanity,” she says of her self-imposed standards, which, combined with the pressures of the industry and a series of love disappointments, have compromised her mental health and left her emotionally drained.

At the heart of GRASA is a woman who defies convention and redefines the meaning of success. It’s a manifesto about resilience, authenticity and the need to balance ambition and well-being, solidifying Nathy Peluso as one of today’s most innovative voices, an artist who isn’t afraid to expose her vulnerabilities while continuing to expand the horizons of Latin music.
