Rina Sawayama is the new confirmation for July 8th on the Heineken Stage, making her debut at the 15th edition of NOS Alive.
Japanese-British singer, model and actress, Rina began her music career after graduating from Cambridge University in 2012. Her early work quickly attracted press attention, being featured on DAZED’s list, Dazed100 and making covers of Style of The Sunday Times and Clash magazine.
In April 2020, his debut album SAWAYAMA is released under the label Dirty Hit and has been critically acclaimed around the world, leading Rina to appear in Billboard, NME, King Kong, Time Out, DIY, and Crash Magazine as well as being featured in Vogue, BBC, CNN, and VICE. In 2021, the artist was nominated for the BRITs Rising Star award, and later that year she was also named in TIME magazine’s list of Next Generation Leaders.
In September 2022 their second studio album is released, Hold The Girl. It was received with great critical acclaim, being considered by NME the “best British pop album of the year”. Rina has also had the opportunity to collaborate with such names as Elton John, Charli XCX, Pabllo Vittar, Bloodpop, Shamir, and others.
On July 8, the Heineken Stage will host Rina Sawayama’s national debut at NOS Alive’23.
