The Breeders, one of the bands that shaped the alternative scene of the 90s, arrive at Palco NOS on July 13th of the 16th edition of NOS Alive . Tickets are already on sale at the usual venues and at nosalive.com.

The album Last Splash by The Breeders, released in 1993, celebrates its 30th anniversary with an unprecedented remastering. Composed by Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs and Jim Macpherson, the album is marked by the success of the song “Cannonball”. The band’s versatility is evident, from their melancholic melodies to their more frenetic grunge moments.

The raw energy of the album is the result of spontaneous approaches and experimental production techniques. The mixing process at the legendary Record Plant in Sausalito had its challenges, such as the accidental deletion of part of the track “Do You Love Me Now”. The unique artwork by Vaughan Oliver, designer for 4AD Records, is gloriously reimagined for this special edition.

The remastering, entitled Last Splash (30th Anniversary Original Analog Edition) includes a vinyl with two unreleased tracks: “Go Man Go” (co-written by Kim Deal and Black Francis) and an alternative version of “Divine Hammer” with vocals by J Mascis, called “Divine Mascis”. This release commemorates an iconic album from the 90s, highlighting the lasting influence of “Last Splash” and culminating in a celebration on the NOS Stage on the last day of NOS Alive’24.
