Match Attack, one of Portugal’s most influential music agencies, is once again taking over the curatorship of NOS Alive‘s WTF Clubbing, reinforcing their partnership with a luxury line-up for July 11. This is the perfect opportunity for the festival audience to embark on an eclectic journey through a mix of national and international talent.
Capicua, DJ Boring, Klin Klop (Live), Logic1000, Macacos do Chinês, Máximo, Mike11 and Von Di will be the protagonists of the second day of WTF Clubbing, with unforgettable DJ sets and live performances that promise to be unforgettable.
Capicua is a completely inescapable name in national music, known for her emotive, feminist and politically engaged writing. After the singles “Chiaroscuro” and “Making Teenage Ana Proud”, the artist will present her new album “Um gelado antes do fim do mundo”, which will be released this Friday, March 21.
Portuguese artist Klin Klop takes to NOS Alive’s WTF Clubbing to debut a new live set and a new EP, released this month by MAR records, inviting us to dive into the unknown, where the energy of live improvisation merges with the pulsating rhythms of house music, crossing genres such as acid jazz, afro house, funk, resulting in a vibrant and constantly evolving soundscape.
One of the surprises of this collaboration is certainly the return of Macacos do Chinês, who make the word “fusion” their lifeblood, with the Portuguese language and its guitar, the cultural universe of the United Kingdom (such as grime and bass culture) and the fluidity and power of Creole as sources of inspiration. Now, after a hiatus of almost 15 years, they are back to creating and wanting to mix it all up – at a time when fusion is more necessary than ever.
Máximo is one of Portugal’s jazz prodigies. At just 21, he started playing the piano at the age of 7 and will be at WTF Clubbing to present his new album PANGEA – the title track of which will be the official music for the Portuguese Pavilion at EXPO 2025 in Osaka. Despite his classical training, he stands out for his audacious fusion of styles, exploring dialogues between music and other artistic expressions.
WTF Clubbing is also hosting another brilliant instrumentalist, Mike 11. After many years playing Portuguese guitar for some of Portugal’s leading fado singers, Mike 11 has ventured into a solo career in which he lends his voice and guitar to refreshing productions that mix pop and RnB. After collaborations with artists such as D.A.M.A., Bárbara Bandeira and Jeremih, Mike 11 is about to release a new single in April on MAR Records.
WTF Clubbing also navigates the captivating rhythms of 3 DJ sets. Born in Australia but living in London, DJ Boring is the antithesis of his alias: vibrant, fun and full of passion. Positive energy, liberating and unifying selections and unbridled fun, combined with respect for music and a genuine desire to share his unwavering passion is what we can expect on July 11.
From Berlin, Samantha Poulter is Logic1000. She released her album “Mother” in 2024 and over the years the DJ and producer has been joined by the likes of DJ Python, Ben UFO, Four Tet and Caribou on her productions.
\Last but not least, one of the names that will be making headlines in Portuguese electronic music in 2025, Von Di. In November he released his latest album “Make Me Move”, a tribute to Lisbon’s underground scene, combining nostalgic electro-house with driving techno, all channeled by Von Di’s contagious energy.
